Personal Protective Equipment Procedure

PPE is any piece of equipment used by employees, contractors or visitors to provide protection from hazards in the workplace.

PPE is provided to control hazards identified in the workplace where it is not practicable to eliminate or control the hazard through other measures, or if additional protection is required to support existing hazard control measures.

This procedure provides direction for employees in the appropriate selection, use, storage, maintenance and replacement of PPE, as well as the training required.
